48MP QB = 12 million color filter + 12 million microlenses , that both cover 4 at once.
Guess which one is easier to do.
Imx557 can shoot 12MP@120fps . Mark 4 can burst 90fps while turning them into 30fps ( every 3 into 1) ..
Do you think sony needed QB crap to do same?

Have never installed gspace or gbox or what ever. The point is to have devices that are not dependant on google on the global market. I Could easily swap the brand otherwise, but if they go global with Kirin processors and without google I'll stay with them precisley for that reason.

Harmony OS Next will jave to be established from China first while outsiders have to make do with EMUI 14 or Harmony OS 4.

P40 pro, stuck on emui 12 for atleast 2½ years, security update maybe once every two months, last one was november 2023.
Nothing new, not at any time, felt like huawei really wanted to make it a paperweight. Shame, since the phone was otherwise very good. Pretty incomprehensible strategy since they're banned in eu, could've strived for something more.

False. You can do same tricks with bayer of same resolution of " binned mode".
None of them.uses single frame HDR, purpose of QB.
Sony Semicon pushes this crap because 48MP QB has lower cost than 48MP bayer.

Also, there are no larger 32MP sensors, they're meant for mid-rangers' selfies, so it's just not a great sensor overall.
As for why it's not 24MP, that's unfortunately just because they're not making newer 24MP sensors. I personally think that phones should have 100MP Quad Bayer sensors that output 25MP images, because Quad Bayer is too important for noise reduction and HDR, but I'm also not that happy with 12.5MP images either. It would negatively impact pixel pitch, but ehh, I'm ready to make compromises. Give me a thicker phone with larger sensors that all use stacked sensor technology for every camera, including a 1/2.3"-type selfie camera, and it shouldn't negatively affect any of this. Of course, manufacturers don't care.

dont really like the camera design. why front camera has less MP than previous models? 13 vs 24/32Mp ? if these prices are final retail worldwide could passable but if these are not final and start adding taxes + other expenses will get ouf of hand. Do we know if they will include charger or not?
