I was excited when reading this but my smile and while excited dropped when I saw Activation Lock was going to be involved in this. Yes I know it's good and all but it is heavily flawed.

Their policy with part calibration was extremely dumb. It just created more e-waste by not allowing users to put a spare part from another broken iphone device with OEM parts.
