Because the professionals know that the most great laptop/Mac is the best for the professional workflow whereas windows... um... don't get me wrong, windows PC with AMD processors are also a great option. But windows laptops...??? I have used a 6000+ dollars windows laptop 2 years ago from Asus, but it was trash. So in one words, in laptop world, MacBooks are the best, but in PC world Windows with AMD processors are the same level as the Mac.

              6YRS and under his guidance & supervision this is what the result is:
              Siri having more "realistic voices" that nobody asked for nor can even notice at ALL!
              Siri ability to relay vocal notes of end use in a home on same network IF and only IF you bought a new speaker lol!
              Shortcuts integration; still minimal.
              Oh wait NOTHING ELSE!!!

              NOW u see why Apple has to make sp many acquisitions they've made for 4yrs now.

                    Today, looking up any bit of information even specific Google code isolated search ends up with pages of results, usually the top 4 are filled with editorial a and opinion puff pieces which barely even scratch the surface of what you want or are after.

                    Example: I got an error in Kali Linux when trying to apt update and upgrade, something about a locked file. I found 2 relevant pages and STILL had to waste 7mins reading to gwt the result of what I'm after.

                    So YES if AI can search across the plethora of sites and summarize EXACTLY what I'm after with less than 1 minute for me to read and apply the solution YES I'm all for it.

                            The quote there clearly says "M3 Lineup" meaning the next-generation of macOS Laptops, in this case coming with M3-based chipsets. The M3 Lineup didn't come with any new/extra features. It was a "spec bump" and a disappointing one at that, especially given the time waited and the price of the product.

                            The best thing that generation did, was briefly have the older generation laptops go on clearance sale. Now from a performance point, versus battery life, the MacBooks are unrivalled. The software is much more optimised, their battery sizes are generous, and the chipsets are several generations ahead of AMD and Intel. So I give credit where it's due.

                            Things will change in the coming years. Just wait for MediaTek to enter the market (competition to innovation), and for Microsoft to get their act together for Windows, and for developers to start writing/porting their Apps that are better optimised for ARM.

                                Anonymous, 12 Apr 2024M4 will be 3 years ahead of windows systems unfortunately At least majority windows systems will be repairable, not like having soldered hw. Planned obsolescence is topmost priority for apple.

                                  Mr4 AI focused desktop chips coming late 2024 to 2025 so all thia bs talk of Apple launching AI based Os' is all BS !

                                  Rumors been talking this for over 5yrs now and still procrastination happens.

                                        512GB RAM is just plain overkill for 100% of users. You don't need this much. This is not a server we're running. Besides, why would the high end models get 512GB RAM, when, let's be honest, the lower cost options will still probably get 8GB.
