Pixel 9 should have a 3x zoom camera. And 8a also. Its a shame they will not.

The Underdog, 14 Apr 2024Bezels seem to actually be getting bigger in the midrange. Weird.i guess they follow suit with the galaxy A54.. 😂😂😂
this is intentional. to encourage customers buying pixel 8 pro for the slim bezels.

I would not complain if they had kept the same thickness as 4-5 years ago, but they didn't need to exaggerate the differences even more...

Not even midrangers from 2019 had such thick bezels (e.g. Galaxy A50).

The Underdog, 14 Apr 2024Bezels seem to actually be getting bigger in the midrange. Weird.I guess these companies now seem to be realizing that slim bezels are too good of a thing.

They are taking advantage of the bigger variation between bezel size to further persuade people into buying their flagship phones. Very scummy but unsurprising move.

This wouldn't be such a big deal if the phone was priced very cheap (below $350). But it's not. It's €570 and therefore this reasoning is mega flawed. And the fact is that midrangers always had thicker bezels than flagships, they didn't need to exaggerate it even more...

How can this new 8a affect curent pixel 8 prices? I am near to buying it for 626€ now. But can it reduce 8 prices in the market, or the opposite? It looks promising ir worth the wait, while it is smaller ar matte back.

I need smaller phone, because running or hiking in the wild with a 6.7 brick is nonsense.

What's with the bezels with newer phones these days? The Fe series along with the a55. Massive bezels. Tensor is an absolute no go in a tropical country.

Google must ditch that Exynos crap and partner with either Snapdragon or Mediatek for their so called custom Tensor chip. I get it, they're built for mainly camera and AI features but consumers these days want a smartphone that is good in most areas. Could be the reason why iPhones are so popular. But that's just my opinion.
