This pixel 8a should stay as last of it's kind as it have lost all of the meaning to get it. It's not even compact anymore as it's larger then the standard 8 and i based it on the size of the bezels. While the Xa is the pixel so called budget version that dont have the best hardware it have got too expensive now to make sense. 90hz screen and so on and it be around 600 euro. It's better to get Samsung S23 for that money and get more compact in size while have better hardware and probably also better cameras and probably also will have longer software support too when now Samsung give 7 years so S23 should still have 5-6 years of updates left

The rumor that the Pixel 8a will be priced at $570 is just stupid. Currently, the standard Pixel 8 can be purchased for just $549.95. It's still possible to buy a new, factory-sealed Pixel 7a for just $424.95.

Damn, those 'Bay' and 'Mint' colors look gorgeous. The definition of what Android is in hardware has always had some of the prettiest colors. One of my favorites was the 'Kinda Coral' color of the Pixel 6. The colors are very pretty, they remind me of the designs and colors of the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con.

I would consider if it had SYMMETRICAL (yet thick) bezels. I don’t mind the added thickness of the bezels as long as they’re symmetrical along with the bottom chin. I’ve been using the iPhone 11/XR & their bezels never annoyed me simply because they’re symmetrical all around the top, sides & bottom. Dear Google/Samsung, just give us iPhone 11 bezels with a punch-hole. It would look distinctive enough from the flagships + all while being less ugly.

flop, 13 Apr 2024huge bezels = no buyHuge bezels, too rounded, and a price increase. I'll be interested to see if they bump the charging speed up to at least the same as the Pixel 8. 18W is an insult. 66W should be the minimum these days.
