          What I'm hoping for is a commitment to better software support. That's the big reason I couldn't justify the £1400 price of the 1 V last year (I'm one of the 6 people who bought the ZF10, it's actually pretty nice despite not really being smaller enough to justify the noticeably smaller screen, but for a headphone jack I can live with it) and being able to get even 6 years of support would go a long way to being able to justify the cost of Sony in general.

                    Mobilemaster, 18 Apr 2024I doubt they will use that chipset again lol! :))I don't think they will use SD695 5G again, especially how limiting SD695 5G is (removing 4K video support and USB 3.1 support from 10 Mark III). 6G1 or 7sG2 at least for 10 VI.

                      TheSnowWinterR7, 18 Apr 2024And we can blame the stale competition and no alternative o... moreI've had the iphone XS and Xperia 1 and 1 iii and i would like to say for the XS it's actually pretty decent for what it is, apple removing headphone jacks and adding notches were compromises yes but the at least compensated with better water resistance and 3d face unlock (while still keeping the phone small) but what good did it bring to Samsung? The same company that mocked apple for doing those ended up following it. I'm not an apple fan but hate when androids ( that were the alternative ) end up solelessly following it

If you tink to capture 8K videos a lot, you definitely will plan to buy bigger storage than 128gb, if you are not into hard videography - this is not a big thing.

If any company is holding back it's phone lines it's Sony. Xperia division leadership is just trash they continue to cost cut by removing features instead of improving them further to gain more sales by making a better phone. And unfortunately for some people including myself there's no real alternative to sony. ZTE and Asus come close but that's about it

                                      Anonymous, 18 Apr 2024For a company who pretty much sells their camera sensors to... moreSony Xperia is pretty much Sony's sideline projects and technology transfer to help Sony Alpha tech to smaller counterpart and Sony other divisions that may need techs from its Xperia division, and with Sony having priorities in other department such as Financial Holdings, Semiconductor, and Gaming Divisions that generated profits better, it's better to keep that way. I mean, Porsche selling SUV to generate profits and those moneys are for their once-in-a-while project like their hypercar line-up.
