Darth Caesium, 18 Apr 2024Sony shouldn't have given up on 21:9. It's their ... moreWithout half of all that they launch it for 1700 dollars, how much do you think it will cost if they do it like that? They wouldn't sell just 1, they don't sell almost anything.

Anders, 18 Apr 2024Every year Sony release their flagships 4 or 5 months after... moreThey do it like that cause they get cheaper allocation of chips if they are the last in the line. And the amount of chips they need is on the low end.

Txindoki, 17 Apr 2024I guess 10 series is definitely deadNo. It's 5 series that is dead.

Every year Sony release their flagships 4 or 5 months after everyone else. By that time, their rivals have already had discounts. It's like they don't want to sell any phones.

This quote sums up the human race so perfectly...

"Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that."
        -George Carlin

Sony shouldn't have given up on 21:9. It's their whole design language. They should've chopped off the large bottom bezel, switched to 1440p, used LTPO and used Flexible OLED. Increase brightness to 2500 nits or so. Keep the top bezel, because that is part of their design language, but reduce the size of the side bezels a bit as well.

Sony Xperia 1 VI should've looked like this:
          •Dimensions: 161.3 × 70.4 × 9.2 mm
          •Display: 6.5", 1-120Hz, Flexible LTPO OLED, HDR, 2500 nits, 3440×1440, 88% head-to-body-ratio

So late. Not good enough. Sony needs to do much better to be competitive.

this sounds boring, Sony could be doing so much more but I feel like they are slipping far behind most camera centric flagships

and we won't be surprised to hear the buzzword "AI" mentioned several times. , since, after all, it is the thing to do this year.

PD: There is nothing more! to attract attention this year and those to come! Mobile technology has already reached its ceiling... but we have to sell 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
