    All my life I have been a Sony fan but I think that after 12 years this is the end of the Xperias for me, I do not want to change to Samsung but there is no other way

        Things like 1" type sensor exist. High powered telephoto lenses with fast apertures. High powered ultrawide lenses with fast apertures. Sony: nah we don't need all that. My goodness at least give us a successor to the Xperia Pro I with a processor that doesn't overheat. Come on Sony. Use all that camera hardware at your disposal.

          6.5" is what you will be getting, from sony and google.

          Pixel 9 Pro XL is 6.5" 20:9.
          While smaller pro is 6.1".

            The 21:9 is how xperia is 30-40g lighter than other.

            Great to have black bars no matter ratio of video now.

I still haven't seen any discount from other Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 smartphones. The only brand I see real discounts on is Samsung, and no one else. Even Vivo X100 Pro and Xiaomi 14 Ultra are still selling at RRP.

Here in Malaysia, the Sony Xperia 1 Mk5 is cheaper than the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max. It even costs the same as the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which never has been the case with the latter's predecessor, the S23 Ultra.

                  Sony also launched a new Xperia 10 in May. So we might see a pair of Mk6 Xperia 1 and Xperia 10 soon.

                                    You surely know no phone has space inside for this, also no brand would spend money to make phone like this because BoM would surely pass $750.

                                    The oled is already flexible. Only cheaper phones used rigid oled.
                                    Lower bezel has second speaker, screen connector and Usb port, you cannot have thin bezel like s24/mi14 without removing speaker . Just look how Asus Rog no longer has one.

                                    You cannot have zoom lens without using periscope or regular "come-out " lens like Samsung K zoom. Common periscope with fixed FL is already expensive, zoom type is even more and you want 3 of them?

                                    Do not embarass yourself.

                                      1) 5 and Pro series will not have new generations
                                      2) screen protector of 10 vi is still 21:9
                                      3) Ace III got android 14 last month
                                      4) Same price of 1v
                                      5) 1 vi will be getting updated to android 17 at least.
