Sony confirms the Xperia event on May 17

The even should introduce the new Sony Xperia VI. Whether the Xperia 5 VI is also in attendance remains to be seen.

Othe... moreUS market will remain very limited in terms of offers as long as the carriers will run the show, so sad that US residents can't have a wide range of brands and models available (minus Huawei) to choose from like Europe, Latin America, Middle East, Asia and Africa.

I have calmed down my purchases of Consumer Electronics since the 80s~90s but I admit that I buy the high end every year. However, in Europe no choice: Since this year there will be a mandatory number (?) of update years. Compatibility between messaging (for example WhatsApp, Messenger, Signal...) is also required. And with the next iOS (September 2024) RCS arrives on iPhone

            Xperia 1 VI : (rumour)Planned improvement: Better automatic mode, better network connection and I hope other things despite little modified hardware (better sound yet?)

              Probably 1 VI, 10VI and maybe Ace IV (Japan).
              At the moment rumors say that the 5 and unfortunately the Pro will be abandoned.
              I'm really looking forward to taking the 1 VI. I would support Sony Mobile until the end. Only Japanese brand in Europe (Mobile) .
              Sharp is unavailable here (Switzerland) and Panasonic has discontinued smartphones. We're hoping for nice colors.

                Then you can have multiframe all the time on, just like other phones have.
                But unlike other, that is not gonna increase sharpening to make you think it is detail, nor saturate colors to be like samsung. Just to handle exposure, nothing more.

                    Also, OEMs burn huge money on this kind of business, sony is not willing to.

                      Sony phones could be sooo good if they keep the 21:9, lower the screen resolution, and improve the auto mode on their cameras, and lower the price. A more unique Android skin would be great as well. Right now there is no reason to choose this phone over a zenfone unless you REALLY want that camera.

                        Just wishing a real upgrade on Xperia 10 VI - as in better chipset + FM radio + (if possible) a little bit smaller

                          Hopefully it has at least 4 years of os updates,nobody is willing to pay 1000$+ to use a phone for 2 years only, even budget phones such as the nothing 2a offers 3 years, s24 and pixel 8 offers 7 years while the iPhone offers 6, BBK & Xiaomi offers 4 and that should be the bare minimum

                                  Come on sony! Introduced us an Android Smartphone with 1TB internal storage. And can be further expanded thanks to External Storage like Micro-SD card since 1.5TB Microsd EXIST!

                                    Even if it's tomorrow it's still late. Sony needs to do much better than this to be competitive.

                                        Sony needs to make it back onto the American carriers. Otherwise it's hard to justify buying one because most of the other flagships are subsidized or you get ridiculous trade ins. I got my S23U for like $300 last year thru TMo
