Huawei's new Kirin 9010 brings minor CPU improvements

18 April 2024
The chipset has an 8-core, 12-thread CPU and is slightly faster, at least on paper.

Not sure why people are complaining about the performance. Sure, I'd expect a $1K+ phone to have the best processor but it's not like the 9010 is a a slouch or anything. Every other aspect of P70 series is flagship through and through and that's really all that matters

AnonD-1153580, 18 Apr 2024Chipset power is not much important these days instead They... moreespecially in social networks, what's the point of having a good camera for photos and videos if when you upload it to Facebook, Insta and other networks it seems that the photo was taken with a disposable camera!! Google and its greed are to blame for this... on Apple you upload a photo to Facebook or Instagram and you can still notice that the quality does not degrade as much as it does with networks on Android, with the parent company itself being the target platform. Apple spends money on this and Google doesn't.

justasmile, 18 Apr 2024Still behind the aging Snapdragon 8+ gen 1, LOL!This overheating crap?

Even with the sanctions they continue to improve step by step.

[deleted post]Chipset power is not much important these days instead They should put efforts in improving the video quality instead, that would make it competitive

Which only means Giant like Google is horrible at designing chips.

Seems to be an improvement to Kirin 9000S.

Hmm...well, at this point, anyone who buys a Huawei buys it primarily for the camera performance, with the tradeoff being the behind-peers performance. But for most people, it should be more than enough raw power, really, especially for those who care mostly about the cameras, which as I stated, might be the main priority for people buying Huaweis at this point
