There's also a Dimensity 7300 coming. 4nm and that's all we know. Umidigi outed it on their Global Sources expo this year

I'm afraid i might be already too late for discussion, but we need nevertheless bring the point.
What we are constantly getting from mediatek since dimensity 700 through all these iterations g99, 810, 6080, 6100 and finally 6300 is only 2 cores of a76 kind and 6 x a55. A76 are factually so obsolete, that as far as i know you won't find any of these still being included by Qualcomm. That's a fact. Even A77 are gone, a78 are the bare minimum for up till date.
Speaking of Qualcomm, they've proposed 6gen1 recently, which clever people here say, is rebranded sd778. Not bad for entry class. And it rocks 4xa78 (!).
In graphics department the things are sad too. G57mc2 is not nearly capable of neither gaming, and nor 4k60 naturally. Just for your information, even iPhone xr could into 4k60 flawlessly. Which could be found for nearly the same money as today's realmes models.
Honestly, their dimensity 7050 ought be a bare minimum even for 22/23 season. Not speaking of now.
This particular 6300 is the insinuation, indeed.

if you feel tired seeing this same shitty Dimensity700 that kept getting rebranded for a literally half a decade you'll also see that Mediatek never ever used the Dimensity800 and 820... both have better Gpu a four to Five core MaliG57 which would have double Graphic capabilities than the dual core G57 GPU that we tirelessly see at G99 to Dimensity6100..
we are tired of these 😐 entry level segment seems a lost cause

doesn't matter how good it might be, unless they make the drivers available for custom rom developers it's a pointless thing as it will only go in poorly supported devices, thus you cannot even keep it up to date with a custom rom.

Anonymous, 20 Apr 2024still having a 32bit unit while having a 64 bit unit is a w... morePricing might not be a issue since there's a push to use A78 in some budget chips, like the Exynos 1330 in my current device for instance. If the size of the silicon of a ARM core is a concern, then that's why there more chipsets using dual core implementation of the A78 than those with quad core implementations like in the Exynos 1380. It still doesn't disqualify the performance you would get from the A78 core even if is old or compared to the A76 to below cores. But the other factor is what expected with A710 or A720 cores too.

I think the reason why the upcoming realme C65 5G will exist for sales, is to be a cheaper yet marginally faster companion to the more expensive realme C67 5G. The criteria for realme C series phones nowadays is all about being "the bottom of the barrel" in terms of storage speeds be it eMMC 5.1 with 300 MB/s sequential read or 500 MB/s for the same task UFS 2.2 variety, and the "new" D6300 will have a nerfed storage performance compared to Dimensity 6080, just like what the Dimensity 6100+ did.

Starjack, 20 Apr 2024But it still fast though. And i don't know where you g... morestill having a 32bit unit while having a 64 bit unit is a waste of silicon, which drive up the price.
if Mediatek want to create cheaper chip, they should use the one that "as small as posible"

Anonymous, 19 Apr 2024A78 is also already too old It still have 32 bit unit whic... moreBut it still fast though. And i don't know where you get the idea of it having a 32-bit unit when it still supports 64-bit instructions. Don't know why some chose to dismiss a chip or core quickly when there are slower or weaker ones still being released including in this chipset (Dimensity 6300).

It would've been a good news if Mediatek announced that they'll be phasing out the Helio G3x series of processors. These should've stayed gone 5 years ago

Why mediatek is using outdated cores in its entry segment?? Rather using newer cores at lower clocks for better efficiency
