19 April 2024
It will even undercut the recently launched nubia Flip.

I sent a tip to GSM Arena about the phone having its full specs officially revealed in Aliexpress and hopefully they will write something in the coming days.

108MP main camera is a Samsung ISOCELL HM6, phone has another Dynamic Island clone, NFC, 45W fast charging with charger included, plastic dual case for each part of the phone, dual stereo speaker and guess what!? Three years of upgrades! Unfortunatelly, it comes with Android 13, but will be upgraded months after the release.

Final price of the phone is still unknown, but there's a short video by bensgadgetreviews where he mentions that it's around $400.

Apparently, one of those two rear cameras is fake. You must be kidding me 🤣

How in the hell you build a ridiculously complex foldable phone and you throw an MTK and a fake camera in there is beyond me. I assume there must be a hinge and OLED flexible screens manufacturer out there selling stock left and right.

        Royole?

Well that's exciting. I purchased my son a blackview phone as his first phone mainly because of the big ram and storage, good for gaming. And I got it at a bargain cheap price... Only $100. Specs like the camera are not very impressive but at that price something had to give.

Is a good phone l like me Yu's that phone

Bojank91, 21 Apr 2024I can't believe foldables are still a thing I used to be on the foldable phone bandwagon. I never missed them when leaving it for dual display ship with my current LG V50 with its detachable Dual Screen case. I can easily vouch that the dual display has been far more practical than the foldable screen, especially with app compatibility.

Bojank91, 21 Apr 2024I can't believe foldables are still a thing Why wouldn't they be? Nobody is planning to replace their entire lineup with foldables anytime soon. In China, where manufacturers have a difficult time selling premium phones like Apple and Samsung(to a certain extent), foldables have been a win. It seems like the citizens there are convinced foldable are worth the price. Why would they give up when it's just picking up steam?

Besides, foldables are simply continuing a trend we've seen for the past 10-15 years. More screen that you can fit in your pocket.

Well even for sold for 99 euros foldables are no for me they are too fragile and the main screen gets destroyed so easily its not worth to even think to buy one for casual use.
JRE proven foldables are costly and not worth since main screen durability can be damaged by even a wooded toothpick or nail.

I can't believe foldables are still a thing

NeonHD, 21 Apr 2024This phone's a stepping stone for future budget foldables As I said in the comment section, this will depends on how good Hero 10 will be overall. Foldable phones are expensive by design, no one cared (nor wanted) to do an affordable version before, so, no titanium, alluminum, expensive hinges nor LTPO super ultra foldable displays with premium materials.

The main challenge is finding how to replace those expensive elements for something cheaper and if possible, durable. If Blackview managed to do something like this on this phone - and I hope they have succeed -, then, indeed, this might start a new hype among phone brands.

This phone's a stepping stone for future budget foldables

For Helio G99 this 400 euro for flip is a bit too expensive. Basically 3/4 of the phone price goes under the flip mechanics and bending screen
At least have like Dimesity 810 or something that is at least 5G to make more sense or better be like D920 to make sense for 400 euro price

Still this flip realm is too expensive if even so trash budget chip in it makes it 400 plus euro.

Also news title needs one more word as world's cheapest foldable smartphone cause you can get these flip phones for 10 euro and these are also foldable. Even HMD come out with one or coming as the Boring phone

BTW, this will be the official (BV) Aliexpress link for the phone: https://es.aliexpress.com/item/1005006749373028.html

I guess it will be available starting May 1.

                                I love BlackBerry phones

                                  Helio G99 foldable. Hahaha, yooo.

For a quick second I thought Blackberry was back with a flip

Anonymous, 20 Apr 2024Yeah this. I'm not trusting a 400$ flip phone until I ... moreExactly. I'm worried you can just push down with your finger hard enough to damage it. Black view make really durable phones but idk if they can with a folding phone this cheap
