Its started it all, greatest smartphone os ever (for now) :) well first pancake was burned, but after that Google even the game :)

the features and design of G1 is really not satisfied to peoples who have ever expecting a existing phone and sth new in the mobile market; but I will still hope the new OS platform will bringing us revolution in mobile phones in the sooner furture.

Why does Gsmarena team keep telling that G1 is a worst looking ugly phone? Its not like that. Has Nokia given you money to say its a ugly phone? No foul comments please.

Until you hold this phone you will not appreciate it. Havent seen a photo yet that does it justice. Besides the iphone there is no UI that can touch it. Its not perfect by any means(cant think of a phone that is) but it is an excellent phone

is this called a modern phone.......lack of features...it's not able to compete with other phone......its comes with google is not enough.... really disappointed with htc........

guys, you miss the point, don't look to the phone and it's features, take the general ideea having an opensurce OS phone. Ugly and poor as it is, G1 is a breakthrough, the first of it's kind, and I say in 2-3 years it will be a major competitor to the WM, Iphone OS, Blackberry etc

It's missing a lot of key features that just don't make any sense, but the google interface is something really new and exciting. The iphone doesn't look so spectacular on a specs sheet but the cool applications are astounding for people who give a crap about stuff like that.

i just wanted to say that in all fairness...iphonez lame. no mms, video, bluetooth transfers, tracks s ringtones, secondary video call camera, 2mp is stupid for 2007 and 2008, no flash support, no led or xenon flash whatsoever. and i kno some of these are replacable by 3rd party apps. but da question is y? y shud we have to BUY the simplest of features when we paid so much for this over rated phone already? oh and no sms forwarding!!! wadz up with that? that's my verdict as an iphone owner. my next phone will kick appl's u kno what...the HTC TOUCH HD. now that's a monster!!:@

this phone is good because its new nothing else.......i read its function of camera and bluetooth.....this days....they are just crap. cAMERA without video!!! bluetooth without file transfer....seems funny.

I like this phone ..its a pity i may never get it here in the Caribbean.However i will endeavor to purchase one from the USA and hopefully get it unlocked to use on DIGICEL OR CABLE & WIRELESS here in St.Lucia.This phone should truly and i mean truly revolutionize the way cell phones function.

Another beta version from google. Reason why its cheap! but give it a year and let all the developers work on this beautiful open source product and you'll have something that will beat the rest!

HTC are already in talks with Indian carriers to launch it around Rs 20,000 since HTC considers indian market very important in sheer terms of volume. It is looking to launch before the official annoncement of Nokia 5800, however Iphone was launched only recently in india and its not a big success here due to hefty price tag, hefty restrictions and a poor camera.

for all the people complaining about the UI as i have stated i have used the phone first hand and love the interface and the phone is not buggy unlike u guys i actually go and use the phone for myself before making a judgement call and this phone is better an will definitely be better than the iphone... granted its not the best looking phone but id rather have power over looks anyday... like i said ur worried bout bt and video which will be taken care of in a update just like the sidekick... the phone is great regardless of what u people read in ya reviews go and use it for urself than comment and stop whining bout the lil things it cant do...
