The difference is that China does that for production. It doesn't matter if BYD is selling products at a loss, as the state will cover their losses.

Imagine YMTC wanting to come to USA and start NAND manufacturing in USA. Will USA allow it and give them those $6 bln?

        They were judging China that is subsidising electric car manufacturing. Let me guess: it is fair game when Americans do it for electronics?

            All im reading is that the US is looking for alternatives against TSMC ..because they know they cant control them

              If any of these chips act companies manage to sell products at a globally competitive price, after the gov funding has dried up, I'd be extemely surprised. Competition is good but this isn't market based competition and so it isn't sustainable.
