I am a teen and yea, iPhones are bought to fit it. I had a old Galaxy J7 (pure hell) and everyone was really all over it. I then got a hand-me-down iPhone and caved to buy iCloud, Apple Music and Minecraft, when I could just get a Minecraft APK and free Spotify Premium. I like Android way more because it's open source and you can actually make your phone YOURS. Even my mom wants to switch to Android because it has batter cameras, which I do agree. Heavily urge her to get an S23U or a OnePlus 12

So the iPhone has a 6.9" screen before Samsung. Crazy times.
And yes I know about the note20 ultra but that was a one time thing and the biggest we have for 4 years now is 6.8" - joke.
Time to give us 7" and above SAMSUNG

Apple continuing with giving 60Hz on their 800+ dollar phones, incredible how a brand can brainwash people into buying inferior hardware for same price.
Before base iPhones at least had features and abilities other phones didn't, so then skimming out on one thing was balanced out, now that's no longer the case, only thing they do better now, and only marginally is battery life.
Still it will sell, mostly bought by teens who don't know better and want to fit in, and clueless adults who have a mental maturity of a teen. Rest will be people who heard good things about iPhone, but don't know those things now only apply to Pro models, or those who just need an iPhone.
All they need to actually make regular vanila iPhones truly a good value is 90hz, not even 120hz, but oh well, people buy and money flows, just like in gaming industry where inferior products for high prices fly off the shelves and nobody learns a thing.

But......Wait a munute.....
Why m i getting flashbacks of something similar happening before,somewhere else????

This isn't the case of "They give you 60hz but put the saved money into different part", they don't, base iPhones are now inferior in every way compared to their equally priced android counterparts with exception of battery life, but gap isnt big enough where the objective value of the phone is same but in different ways.
Point is, iPhone is giving you inferior hardware for price of superior hardware, just because you don't use it doesn't mean it's an okay practice, it's exploitive, especially of people who don't know what 120hz is.

Would've been more interesting if instead of increasing the size of the Pro, the vanilla was decreased to 5.8" like the iPhone XS
