If they had headphone jacks and revolutionary cameras in each generation, I'd be using S24 Ultra by now. But Samsung does a fantastic job at making sure I don't waste money on smartphones :D

not only the price is much more expensive, we dont get the discount price when they should (like in other country when the price already go down here the price stays the same even when no one buys them), also other models like the A35 got free buds but we dont have that here
but still the 200$ cheaper is just samsung reducing their pure profit, they are still profiting much because in actuality they would still profit much even if they sold it at 1000$ price point

Compared to S23 ultra, the S24 ultra got better chipset, better camera, faster and smoother performance, A.I. that is integrated to many aspects of the phone, better screen with less reflection, better durability and build.
I wouldn't call all that basically the same phone at all.
I am new to this site but I find myself not understanding what some people hear want. For me, I don't care about brand or brand loyalty. It's just a product to me at the end of the day. What I care about is how good the product is, and currently the S24 ultra seems to be the best so far.
If tomorrow Apple, Xiaomi or whoever releases a phone that is overall superior, I'd get it in a heartbeat. At the end of the day the best product is the one that provides the best overall value.

Well yeah with the s24 ultra price point for 1800$ which, the 900$ are pure profits and even if samsung sold it at 900$ it will already get a huge profits in itself, so the profit for a single unit is more than 1000$, if samsung sold 1000 units of the s24 ultra they already pure profits for 1M$ and this is talking about pure profit not a net profit you get after the gross, means pure profit goes to the wallet directly while net profit goes to the sale distribution
