You know why this is, guys, right? This is Samsung actually not reporting on some of its earnings before and reporting them in with later figures, so that they can look like they're doing better than they actually are and can get loans during the time period in which they look like they're doing worse.

Samsung still provides the most rounded product of the Android world, even though some choices they make as a company aren't the most favoured by a lot of customers.

And they say Apple customers are sheep.
S25 is the worst upgrade ever, possibly even a downgrade, especially in Europe, and people are buying like crazy.

Practically the entire improvement comes from Device Solutions, which, in turn, had an insane jump in profits from selling... memory. AI boom and all that.
I think the "fantastic sales of S24" was just marketing BS, as usual. Super expensive, identical to S23 in almost every way, what's there to buy? Unless people didn't upgrade for a decade.

There goes the Apple of android world.
Keep launching same phone with bare minimum upgrades & higher prices and continue making loads of profit in return.

I mean, it makes sense. As long as there's still someone who doesn't understand about tech or something like phone specification, they will always buy between Samsung and iPhone, no matter how better another phone from another companies.

People here take everything so personally, as a long time Samsung user, i passed on buying an A34 to replaced my A32 and got a Xiaomi instead, But that doesn't mean that Samsung fell off, or even that the A34 is a less competitive phone them the A32 (it probably isn't), it's just that it doesn't have was I'm looking for, with the A-series previously being more camera focused. Other people, who care mainly about chipset and display are probably pretty happy with the current direction. And for the flagship buyers, most people here probably prefer all-out camera phones like the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, while Samsung is keeping it a bit more modest, and in return is offering slimmer, nicer to hold, and (in my opinion) better looking phones. The phones aren't just made for you, is what I want to say with all of this.

Who knew releasing basically the same phones with 90-ish % of the same parts and having exynos for the base s24 and s24 plus would lead to a huge growth in profits? omg it's almost like they cracked they cracked the code in basic business, low costs = higher profits woah
They spent a lot and made huge innovations and changes in the past so they could become stagnant in the future and earn loads of profit. It's far easier to keep a few people more on the payroll to work on software than to sell phones with more hardware, especially for a big company like Samsung, it's basically free money for them and their moves are working out well, on a business perspective.
But as Samsung has become more business oriented, my faith and respect for them has gone like remember the Note20 Ultra and other stuff like the S8 that were as balanced as current offerings but had so many things that are better that the competition. The iPhone had tiny sensors, the only other phones with bigger sensors weren't THAT big (the P40 Pro for example was 1/1.28 compared to the 1/1.33 of the Note20 Ultra, Huawei and others had smaller sensors for the main cam during the S8 days, etc.) and Samsung was willing to let go of bigger numbers for actual benefit to the consumer (went from 16 to 12 MP on the S7 from the S6, and had a wider aperture). Idk tho man, maybe you like the direction the company is going in right now but back in the day no one could provide a valid criticism besides "it's not an iphone lol just a cheap android". Well, nowadays that's exactly what has happened in a way, it's not an iphone but an expensive af android without the redeeming feature that iPhone has, iOS.

Why don't they earn profit if they launch scrap midrange phones on higher price.
