That is an incorrect statement. In China they use WeChat, in Korea KakaoTalk, in Japan Line.

Look alright to me, 4G, USB-C, clean software, good sized battery, nice monobloc design gets the job done, we live in a world where as much as some don't like it feature phones are still very relevant with the option of running it on 2g or 4g these are better futureproofed now.
Not everyone uses a smartphone for online services and may just own a pad for connectivity albeit don't want to connect to online services at all, or just want to carry a basic phone for outside the home I can see all options for the end user.
Also some employment only allows phones with no camera so the option with the no camera handset is covered.

It took her another 3 years to learn facebook.
Many elders in Slovakia finds impractical smartphone because of too many functions they dont understand and there is no manual for that.

With €59, at least in my country I can actually just give my grandma a full functional Android phone.

Why HMD us using kaios or S30+ instead of Java or symbian , both java and symbian still have huge apps and games library,they are just scamming people in name of 4G devices with New OS ,kaios can't even compete with a Java mobile , it's pathetic to see such a downgrade is being called as feature phone , Even symbian is thousand times better than this low quality kaios .
God help this world and these Operating system.

I hope build quality is good on these, like it is on the 3310 3G. Newer phones like the 8210 4G & 225 4G feel so cheap and their screen is horrible.

Missing good feature phone so badly, I bought a refurbished Sony Ericsson Hazel. Still functional after 14 yrs after its release. It helps me disconnecting from the internet for a while.
Releasing higher-end featurephone (5MP or 8MP cam, with front-facing cam), good display with 2.6~3" size, removable battery, 3.5mm jack, SD cards, 4G capability, even longer-lasting battery in various form factor (clamshell, slider, candybar) would be great.
