This isn't making any sense. Too big to be a phablet, too small to be a tablet. Sony could've killed the Nexus 7 2nd gen right before it gets released if they only made it 7 inch though. Shame.

Let's see what can that gigantic triluminos screen and 2.2 ghz snapdragon 800 do with a 3000mah battery. Looking forward to a battery test.

Frankly, this looks very useless. They could just make it 7" and call it a tablet.

This phablet sad to say will be very expensive and that will hurt sales! Sony almost always is more expensive than others!

AnonD-77443, 25 Jun 2013Looks good but is a bit big for me personally. I think the ... moreagreed. the battery is a bit smallish for this size. look at HTC butterfly S which has 3300 for 5 inch screen. you can guarantee you will not be dissapointed with HTC butterfly s if battery is your concern!

for someone who has good eye sight, a phone of HTC one size should be the maximum size for a phone as the too big ones have too many disadvantages than advantages and at the same time own a properly sized tablet like ipad so you can do whatever you want without being restricted by a smaller screen. even the 7 inch tablet i have does not give the same experience as the 10 inch ipad. but if you have a poor eye sight then a phablet maybe is not so bad.

I've been a loyal Samsung customer for years.. First the Galaxy S2, then the Note 1 and now the Note 2. Older Samsungs before that too.

                        But THIS....

This has changed the game for me.. It will work perfectly with my PS4 when it comes, and I'm sure to also get a Sony SmartWatch ;) GG Sony, GG.

Its look cool n fancy but the main problem is the battery! Lets be honest battery consumption is always the problem to us!

I am upset :( I was eagerly awaiting for this phone and now they have made a good phone with couple of dents on it. No led flash and just 3,000mAH battery. Every thing else is just superb, but couple of things is a let down. If Huawei Ascend Mate can come up with 4,050mAh battery with the same screen size, then why can't xperia Z ultra make it up for their high end devices??? If Sony wants to become the top dog they should come up with high capacity batteries and better pricing. This is where Samsung does well.. at least they don't upset consumers with high end devices.

Anonymous, 25 Jun 2013I pretty much agree. It's a lovely and awesome device. I al... more You are right. Such device, such size, such screen, such.power is not to be treated like an ornament.
The best one could do is having it plugged most opportunities through a comfortable way.
Getting used to low brightness helps too.

The processor should not affect badly the battery life. It's one of its achievements to be so powerful yet use low amounts of battery. Any idea for the price? It most certainly will cost almost as much as an ultrabook. So expensive!

I really like Qualcomm Snapdragons. I had and still have a very good experience with its old S2 in my Xperia Pro. With the old Adreno 205 in such device I can play all heavy games with good graphics and fine. That speaks of their endurance and power. But I'm so very impressed by the Razr i and its Intel processor that I said I stick to it forever haha.
I mean, is there another single core that can compete at the level of Note 2 and iPhone 5? Come on and mention one.

I'm not an Intel fan boy but I recognize such achievement. And look for the K900 to destroy all competitors haha . JkJk

But Lenovo is so slow in releasing it...

                                    Anyway, it's an interesting wait.

Let's check out what Samsung and the others have to offer now for those lucky people like me who couldn't buy a Z nor an S4 months back Haha.

But you said you were tired of Samsung using same design. Which Sony and everyone else does as well. I'm guessing what you meant was tired of Samsung design. That's all preference.
And the Note3 will 99% follow the same design scheme. Though it might be worth checking out. Either choice will get you a great phablet in the end
