😂 Why, because you say so? "The X100 Pro has the largest sensors with least amount of over sharpening". I don't care how good the hardware is or how big the sensors, as long as it performs good, then I'm satisfied. The Find X7 Ultra has a dual periscope setup with a new 1-inch main cam, so based on hardware, if we ranked smartphone camera performance purely by just looking at the hardware, then there are others that will surpass the X100 Pro. And I'm more than sure that the X100 Pro is an excellent camera phone, but just because YOU like its camera performance and YOU think that it is the best camera on a smartphone out there doesn't make it the best. I like the photos taken by the Huawei P50 Pro, so that's the best camera on a smartphone right now because I say so. Doesn't matter that the P60 and Pura 70 were unveiled, I think the P50 Pro is the best. Period. See what mean? So again, I'm repeating myself here like I've repeated the alphabet in kindergarten: there is no best camera smartphone out there; not one to rule them all. Some are better at some things than others, like the iPhone has among the best videos (though the Xaiomi 14 Ultra has catched up, as well as others) but there's hardly one that's the best at mostly everything these days. It has become nearly as subjective as the design.

They're still charging more even though they don't offer more.
At least Apple and to a lesser degree Samsung have great software, brand recognition and especially Apple value retention.
Xiaomi, Vivo, Huawei, they've got no justification for asking the same price as Apple and Samsung.

You can argue about preferring a certain software solution, but facts remain facts.
Vivo X100 pro has the largest sensors with the least amount of oversharpening. It's by far the best camera for pictures.
iPhone 15 Pro (Max) is by far the best camera for video recording.
iPhone 15 Pro is the only 6.1 phone with pro sensors/cameras. There simply is no phone that small or smaller with better cameras overal.

Yeah import taxes in EU is going to kill this phone. And that's a shame. Would love to see Huawei back. Still dreaming about the good old days when I had Mate 20X, wish they would bring that beast back with up to date specs.

I want the white Pura 70. Will it get a UK release? We always seem to get very limited options.

David 040882, 02 May 2024It should've been like this: Pura 70 at $850 Pura ... moreThe price is very good though for a European price. Other Chinese brands typically charge 60-75% more in Europe compared to China but Huawei's pricing is only around 40% more. That's quite a lot less mark up than their competitors. 20% of that would be VAT so roughly 20% more than China. The Pura 70 pro for example is the same price as the Xiaomi 14 ultra in China yet it's €300 cheaper in Europe. A much lower mark up

WhoCaresTM, 02 May 2024Not true at all. It's a known fact the Vivo X100 Pro ... more😂 Mate, there is no "best camera smartphone" anymore really and if there is, the vivo X100 Pro isn't it. It's definitely among the best, that's for sure, but it's not better than, say the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. And the iPhone 15 Pro, while it does have arguably the best video quality among smartphones and iphons in general do, I don't see the logic/reason for categorizing it as the best overall camera system on a smallish phone and the X100 Pro's as the best setup on a big phone. But anyways, the fact that the vivo X100 Pro has the best camera system on any smartphone it's just not true. You prefer it and its photos over any other smartphone's? Then it's the best for you, but as I already said, smartphone cameras have become so good that there's no clear winner and it's pure preference at this point

Mills, 02 May 2024Dawg, I don't think your gonna be settling on a phone.... moreLet it be heavy then. I would love to have a 9.9mm phone without a case that has a back made from aramid fibres. I see no point in these glass slabs that are extra heavy and have terrible durability as well because of it.

It's a known fact the Vivo X100 Pro has the overall best camera system, for now, on a large phone.
It's also a known fact the iphone 15 Pro has the best overall camera system on a small(ish) phone, and also the best video recording capabilities on any phone in general.

I couldn't care less about the benchmark scores aka gaming performance.
I can't imagine playing games on my phone. I have a proper gaming PC and Steam Deck for that.
I also couldn't care less about the Play store. I can sideload the few Google apps I need, and literally anything else I need. I'm also not tied to any ecosystem as I don't use smartwatches and all that disposable crap.
I love the design, the camera and the package. And I'd be willing to put up with the size even though I said no more phones over 6.1. But I cannot get over that price. Huawei over thinking they can charge Apple prices.

Darth Caesium, 02 May 2024Okay, I may have exaggerated a bit to get ny point across, ... moreAt this point, there's no clear smartphone with the best camera setup, so it's purely subjective and you should choose depending on your needs and/or what you like (and what you can afford)
