The most affordable Huawei flagship is just €999.

I'm personally both very impressed and not impressed by its cameras, and as someone whose main consideration when buying phones are their cameras, I can honestly say that I'd prefer getting the Vivo X100 Pro, Oppo Find X7 Ultra or the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

•❌ — Hate the main camera's retractable lens
•❌ — Hate the 22.5mm lens of the main camera
•✅ — Love the 1024-step variable focal aperture for the main camera, even if Xiaomi did it first
•✅ — Love the periscope's 5cm minimum focusing distance, that's an amazing feat of engineering
•✅ — Love the use of Quad Bayer on the ultrawide
•❌ — Hate the 18mm lens of the selfie camera, even if it is very high quality
•✅ — Love the use of a 1/2.3"-type sensor for the selfie camera
•❌ — Hate the lack of a front-facing ToF 3D sensor for face unlock
•❌ — Hate that they didn't do a wide + ultrawide setup for the selfie

My friends swore by Huawei's cameras but left cos no Google apps. We have a small group filled with people who stuck around and managed to survive with no GMS or with a little bit of band aid GMS solution.
Samsung and Apple are not the end all be all of things.

Base Pura model has no Nearlink technology. And why remove NM slot on all models?
Here's to hoping they also tank P60 Pro prices.

Huawei always wasn't the type to price their phones competitively. I think their Honor division is a bit more competitive.

                🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

David 040882, 02 May 2024It should've been like this: Pura 70 at $850 Pura ... moreThat would've been great IMO. Not the most competitive in the sense that you can buy an S24 for cheaper, but in terms of features that would've been enough to at least potentially sway some customers who don't care about the lack of Google apps and framework.

                    It should've been like this:

                    Pura 70 at $850
                    Pura 70 Pro at $999
                    Pura 70 Ultra at $1199

That's some wildly disastrous pricing. Huawei is deluded if they think they can sell even 1 of these internationally for such a price.
