It's not about street photography or video editing stuff. Windows PCs do real stuff. 99% of engineering tools are Windows-based with real-world hardware acceleration which is a dream for the even most powerful M series soc. Even Apple Workshop uses Windows 7 for GFX cad tools lol. Today AI in Windows/Linux is a trillion light years better than even compared to AI in Android which is already a trillion light years better than even Apple computers lol.

      38 TOPS??
Okay. An RTX 4090 has 1300 TOPS of AI processing power.
      Even a 4060 is roughly 10x this.

Soon or later said AI will prevail over humans and humanity new skynet is close to be created.

Basically, this silicon level flaw (hence practically unpatchable) enables malware to break encryption.

I see that the news around issues with M1/M2/M3 has been buried.

They'll buy most things BECAUSE they are popular, heck I'm guilty of it. I bought my monitor, a Dell one, 10 years ago cus my uncle had a Dell Laptop 17 years ago and it gave good service and I believed in it. Same goes for Samsung, our family kept buying Samsung phones from like the Note5 days and still does.

Also, I understand your point but the age of "vote with your wallet" is gone. No one cares about the bad stuff anymore. Take predatory ways of getting money in games. People still buy those games and support those devs. Nothing to do. World's messed up. And the people who are supposed to call them out, reviewers, don't. They've become shills, either fanboys or people who want to keep good relations with the brands.

                        Fastest Neural Engine ever*

*In an Apple product, which means not really that fast.

this fast + this thin ... battery last like 1-2 hours? or may be 3h max. we don't mind 1mm thicker & a bit heavier with larger battery. all previous ipad pro last shorter than iphone pro max series ... T_T

Based on the anecdotal points raised by Apple, this looks to be made on the proper 3nm node (TSMC 3E), rather than the (TSMC 3P) abysmal/problematic early-3nm we got with last year's iPhone 15 (A17-PRO chipset).

This should hopefully show a true, real-world efficiency improvement in the 2024 A18-Pro, of roughly +30% from the A17 and +40% from the A15. And it should correlate similarly with the M4 versus the M3 (+30%) and M2 (+40%), as well as their subsequent Pro/Max/Ultra models.

Meaning, whoever got an M3 or A17 or even A16 based device, basically got ripped off. I guess we will have to wait for the device to be released, and everything tested properly by reputable sources. If true, this is good news, it's progress. It seems like a preemptive response to the upcoming tablets and laptops running Windows11 and using the Snapdragon EliteX and ElitePro (Oryon-based) chipsets. Maybe it will mean that the iPad Pro devices might actually get more advanced in software too, since Windows11 is showing promising future for Native-ARM programs from the big software companies.

Let us watch this space carefully : )
