Apple's new M4 chip comes with the fastest Neural Engine ever

It's making its debut in the new iPad Pro.

Sort by:

Qualcomm last week: THIS IS THE X elite, comes with the world's fastest NPU for laptops capable of 45 TOPS (trillions of operations per second)

Also Apple this week: The M4 comes with the fastest Neural Engine ever, capable of up to 38 trillion operations per second, faster than the neural processing unit of any AI PC today

LOL. Apple got scarred of Oryon so they quickly pushed M4 out, even with the Mac Studio and Pro still sitting with M2.

I don't get the point of an M4 in an iPad anyway. It still runs the same apps as the cheapest iPad.

Darth Caesium, 07 May 202410-120Hz? I mean, it's not the biggest deal, but Apple... more10-120 is like iPhone 13 Pro. Adaptive refresh rate but no always on display for which Apple uses 1-120

Second generation 3nm process, so N3E? Or N3P? Anyway, a waste on an iPad where the best one is the cheapest available because the only thing it can do that other devices (smartphones and laptops) can't is using the pencil. But it would enable better battery life and more actually new capabilities on iPhone and Mac. Instead of just the existing stuff faster like on this iPad.

So the rumours were true. If that's the case then, how is the cycle of M series chips gonna be if the M4 made its debut with an iPad instead of a Mac

So if Apple makes M5 then the neutral engine be slower then this one if the M4 will have fastest ever so they cant make the next one faster if they already have fastest ever

10-120Hz? I mean, it's not the biggest deal, but Apple's usual is to have good specs that are even perhaps unnecessary in some areas. This should be 1-120Hz.
