At this price point macbook seems like a much reasonable purchase albeit still very expensive. Also it is just samsung amoled because that one is prone to issue after certain usage. For multimedia consumption, cheap chinese pad will surely work.

All the desktop-grade firepower, yet it still runs on a glorified iOS for tablets. Call me back when Apple finally put macOS on iPad Pro.

it's costly for sure but it's also for sure the most powerful tablet in the market, that's why they got "pro" model, you shouldn't be imagining to own it if you are so poor and even complaining about it, you deserve the standard model or an android

As I read about this device on my xiaomi pad 6 with a custom rom and exact storage I think- hmph sure the missing finger scanner is a downside but at least i didnt fork out almost $1000+ on a metal sheet that doesn't even have a calculator

Looks like the only iPad worth getting atm is the iPad (10th gen) at $349.
Hope the 11th gen base model gets updated with 6GB/128GB and a newer chipset (A15/A16 Bionic) while keeping the $449 price point.

Already a $500 d... moreThink of it this way: 1.75TB storage, cellular connectivity, and a keyboard cost $1650 in the US, more than the base cost of the entire iPad. Heck, my motorcycle cost that amount. You can get that storage for $130, a dumb phone for $25, and a keyboard for $10, adding up to $165, 10% of what Apple wants for these features.
While Apple is not a money laundering scheme like some say it is, Apple is the king of ridiculous markups.
