AnonD-131177, 26 Jun 2013WESTERN EUROPE ONLY? look at this 380% 1Q13/1Q12 change... moreI'm still using their good old Optimus 3D as a music player. It's a nice device, little on the slow side compared to modern smartphones but I still like it very much for some reason. It's also running MilkyWay@home like 24/7 on both cores.

Western Europe is quite broke at this point, of course they'll prefer cheaper phones with an OS that has high piracy rates. That's also why the market has slowed growing so much. But of course it's not the end of story and also not the end of markets too. :)

Windows phone OS is still a beta and iOS is way too much pricey as well as restricted, that's why the sales of Nokia and Apple has decreased in Western Europe. You don't use a phone to sell an ecosystem, you use an ecosystem to sell a phone. Android is the king of the market these days, maybe in a few years we won't see company such as Nokia if they continue with Windows phone OS. They must take some right decision right now and create a unique product or else their future doesn't look as bright as Samsung's
