But you still need a co... more"ms bloatware" you don't need a computer at home jesus christ 512 gb is enough and there's gonna be a 1 tb version anyway there's no need to "save on the internal storage space" and you can just upgrade the internal SSD instead. I know you're gonna reply with something stupid to this as well but just know that this is a gaming handheld. Not just a controller.

Ally, Lenovo, SteamDeck, Ayo Neo and others all play fully fleshed out Games locally installed on the machine.
This is the big daddy/better version of a PSP, Nintendo Switch, iPad, iPhone etc. You dont need to stream or set up another machine at home. just download install and away you go.
I was playing Fall Out 4 in bed last night on my SteamDeck while my Fiance played dream light valley on her switch and our son played Xbox games! its an evolving space that needs diversity and of the main stream the ally is a great option if you dont want to go down the steamdeck route.

This w... moreThese types of devices have been around for a long time and I honestly dont see them going away any time soon.
I would rather play my games on a steamdeck than a laptop on the train or road trip. Sure you can get better performance out of a decent spec'd laptop but you also look to spend almost 2x the amount.

SteamDeck wins easily, the optimisation and ever changing landscape of compatible (native compatible) games makes it the best choice.
The Neyos are good but I don't see them lasting the test of time, they release a new "Flavor" way to regularly how do they expect to support the hardware and software to a decent degree.

ROG Ally, Lenovo Legion GO, SteamDeck and many many others are fully enabled gaming machines they do not require any other hardware in your home to play games, This is essentially a Laptop or more to the point a gamining machine that enables portable gaming.
Think PSP or Nintento Switch but for PC games and more.

Look bud I am no fan of this device, I have grown sick of ASUS' bottom of the barrel customer support and I hate the ROG Ally in particular because of how it butchers SD cards, its lack of TB ports in exchange for that garbage propitiatory eGPU port, lack of touchpads, poor battery life and over-all general ASUS hubris.
But even with all that dissatisfaction, I don't go spouting BS like you calling this a "lol controller". Check your facts since A) you are severely mistaken and don't want to admit your fault or B) a troll.
There ARE some screen-devices which you can use Steam link to stream the games from a master home system or from a PS, but this is not one of those devices buddy. This got the OS and all the bells & whistles inside which allows it to run games and other things natively. Next time get your facts straight little guy, or admit to your mistakes when people give you the facts.
