It is common practice to release "leaks" and unofficial previews of a product in timed intervals, when the product is known to be handicapped, inferior, or without a market. This can be seen in the phone market with phones that get released with barely any real marketing investment. This phone, imo, has failed to impress and was doomed to fail from the development phase. When Google gets a chance to influence Motorola, ca. anno 2015, we'll begin to see some innovation and market "presence".

The specs are absolutely perfect for a mid-ranger - same as Xperia SP but with an OLED screen and Google's fast support.. but the design is rather poor if they wanted to make it a serious seller. Hope it's just a beta.

This phone will have better performance than HTC One and Galaxy S4 because it has 720p screen which is enough for a phone in my opinion.
