Small upgrades over 7a. Curious about battery life, though. But, mostly, it's a safe pass. Saving for Pixel 9 Pro.

vs88, 16 May 2024hard pass :( its uglyExceptionally ugly. The rear is fine, but that screen is just horrendous. It literally looks like my 2019 LG G8. That's how outdated it looks. And for that asking price, I don't think anybody wants to stare at a device that looks like something that came out 5 or 6 years ago.

Seems like a pretty decent package imo. It's just Google have significantly jacked up the price in India for some reason which makes this completely ridiculous purchase here.

This phone has decent specs and a proper 7 year OS upgrade thing. But 18W charging in this day for a mid range phone? I get that fast charging deteriorates the battery faster but even Samsung entry level phones have started giving 25 W charging now.

Ars hates Samsung because of their software bloat, so they always give Google glowing reviews. Unfortunately, they don't test network connectivity or battery life on 5G...which they should.

There's not much need to review this. It's pretty much the same as Pixel 8.
