This is what should've been done:
•120Hz Flexible LTPS OLED, slightly thinner bezels (21:9 and 6.1" is good, no need to change that)
                  •256GB UFS 3.1
•IP67 (IP68 just adds cost for no real discernable benefit for this price class)
•12MP selfie and 12MP ultrawide (removal of 2× telephoto is not really a problem)

To be brutally honest, I rather see the Xperia 10 using the more mainstream 19.5:9 screen panel instead of seeing it on the Xperia 1. Xperia 10 has never been the focus for professional cinema videography, so it makes sense for it to have a more typical smartphone aspect ratio.

Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to the battery endurance rating. Last year's predecessor showed a crazily impressive result. Also, three OS update for a sub-€400 phone? This could be the midrange phone of choice for 2024.

sony users still condamned to use the remote radio FM SBH54 with modern smartphone !
why did sony abandon the radio FM feature, i really not understand!

At least, SONY should be the first to release the FM dab+ on smartphone !! there is no other brand with FM Dab+ !

                        MicroSD slot
                        IP65/68

Then they skimp on the screen again! Why?! It could have a legitimate niche and they purposely dumbed it down again. The 10 III had Type-C 3.1 BTW. What happened to that Sony? Why skimp on that too 3 years in a row?

Well done Sony. Reasonable starting price (sure it will drop to 300€ in autumn), 4K recording is back, 3/4 years of updates is top-notch in this range, only Samsung offers more.

The upgrade from 685 chipset to a newer 6 Gen 1 is expected. Glad everything retains the same and the telephoto taken off is a good thing. 10V telephoto has no OIS, so shots are bad. With this main sensor and a "nearly lossless" 2x zoom with OIS, it's a winner. The phone looks better too. The size of the 10VI is the biggest winner, glad they stuck to it. To those complaining about the price, do note, it is harder & more expensive to make a 6.1" phone than to make a 6.5" phone. Ever wondered why other phone makers give better specs & cheaper but size like a monster?
