Anonymous, 19 May 2024Although you do have a right to criticize someone if you do... moreBeing a billionaire has nothing to do with tact. I did not claim he isn't a successful nor a skillful person. Of course he is. What you don't realize is that someone can be crazy rich and extremely smart, yet lack essential qualities like dealing with people and having good taste/judgment.

He does have a great imagination for the future of technology, just not with... other stuff.

I commend musk for his ideas and visions in technology and business. However anything beyond that, I think he's quite incapable. Take this from someone who used to be a fan of him.

Bad idea to rename like that... very bad

X is even bigger dumpster fire than Twitter was so I'm not sure about brand.. and the inline still prominently shows "pic.twitter.com" (if ones has disabled external content) so lulz

But it's hugely unfair to use words like // The dude doesn't have any imagination. //
// He has no tact or sensitivity at all. //

That amounts to taking things too far. As a matter of fact, he is among the richest persons in the world and he DID NOT inherit his wealth.

                What took him that far?
Talk about imagination and tact huh??

no, 18 May 2024Twitter is still used by people who were old enough to use ... moreAgreed 100%.

Musk was simply too lazy and figured he'd use his biggest domain name as Twitter. The dude doesn't have any imagination. He has no tact or sensitivity at all.

Though, granted, I do think a large majority of people probably don't care either. Whether it's called X Y or Z, doesn't matter to those people. That still doesn't excuse the name though.

It's like saying please and thank you. Do most people give a damn if you say those words? No they don't. But it shows at the very least that you have manners. Same with a well-crafted name. It shows that you put thought into it.

And yes you're right. I'm just saying that "X" is quite a meaningless and thoughtless name for a social media site.

Named by someone who is too lazy to come up with a fitting name, nor cares for an attractive "brand story". But that is no surprise coming from someone as tactless as Musk himself.

The local nightclub is still known by the name it had in the 90's, despite it having changed its name half a dozen times. Twitter will always be Twitter.
