        Anonymous, 17 May 2024Not confusing at all. People aren't that stupid.People might not be stupid, but it will be confusing for people who barely use Twitter, and still think that Twitter is called Twitter.

        I think his point is that, linguistically speaking, X is a vague and impersonal name. The purpose of Twitter isn't vague, nor is it impersonal. Therefore, X isn't a suitable name.

        The name "X" is more suitable for a piece of accounting software.

          To me, X will always be a name that is more suitable for a professional software. Change my mind. You can't.

              Using a single letter makes searching on it much harder, imaging saying xing instead of an iconic word like tweeting.

                        Which person that used Twitter before the name change even refers to it as X?
                        I feel that Elon really went full edge with this "X in everithing idea"
                        I mean, he's got spaceX, X corp, xAI, I mean yeah, might have been a cool concept 15 years ago but now it's just cringey, especially is a site with that many not-so-smart individuals
                        Who can even stop him to convert his questionable ideas into reality at this point?

He also gave away the Tesla blueprints to China to get discounts on manufacturing there. He's a disaster and I'm a bit worried about what negative impact he will have on NASA and the new era space race.
