17 May 2024
It could be a mura effect due to the low PPI of the tablet.

I'm personally waiting for OLEDs to all have phosphorescent blue LEDs and be manufactured using evaporative inkjet printing so that they can have equal-sized regular RGB subpixels and suffer from burn-in much more rarely. Give me an OLED screen that:
•Is Flexible (as in Flexible OLED)
        •Is LTPO
        •Has a variable 1-120Hz refresh rate
        •Has a 480Hz touch sampling rate
        •Has HDR
        •Has a 3000nit peak brightness
•Can display all colours in the sRGB, DCI-P3, AdobeRGB, NTSC and BT Rec. 2100 colour spaces
•Has an average deltaE of less than 0.2
        •Uses a tandem display structure
•Is protected by Gorilla Glass Armour or better (for both scratch-resistance and shatter-resistance)
•Has an equal-sized regular square RGB subpixel structure
•Has phosphorescent LEDs for all subpixels
        •Uses DC dimming
•Has a pixel density of at least 300ppi

I can guarantee you that such a screen will exist that can be used for all devices with screens, no matter their size, before MicroLED hits the market at an affordable price point. Plus, such a screen would still be cheaper than any MicroLED screen at that point when this hypothetical OLED hits the market.

We have been reporting this issue to Samsung since January 2024, when the Samsung S24ULTRA was released. After multiple visits to service centers and phone calls with customer care, Samsung claimed that the issue is due to the Freaking AI features.

However, it has now become evident that this is a manufacturing defect specific to Samsung displays, as all Apple displays are also manufactured by Samsung.

This is unacceptable, considering the significant financial investment made in these products.

Anonymous, 17 May 2024I feel the exact same way about LCD, lol.You paid for an expensive panel and what suggestions you get? Lower down the brightness, implement technological gymnastics to reduce burn with the possibility of causing eye-strain to some people and don't let static images stay for long. Lmao.
I have no fear going all out 24/7 on an LCD panel.
And lastly, a 400ppi OLED is NOT the same as 400ppi LCD. The oled needs to be higher density to match the lcd one because magic lol.

Apple order display just like you order pizza from pizza hut/dominos. Real dispaly maker like Samsung/LG/BOE/AU currenty do not produce small microLED display, only high cost big display. So Apple cant have microLED display.

Thought Apple would have introduced microled displays on their iPads by now.

Seeing how the iPad Pro is marketed as a creativity and production tool, they should at least consult graphic artists over the quality of their displays. It's a shame they have so much brand clout, they don't have to care about their customers anymore.
