I would say the screen does have some improvements over the older SE and non SE models in the newer SEs, granted the size and technology behind it is also limited to that space, but it's still better than the older versions...

Some good upgrades on the phone's core design would be the screen and processor. But, most manufacturers wouldnt give that away for the same old price

But when stating prices, you never include taxes for the main reason of taxes not being the same in every location. So you state the base price, and you calculate taxes for your own buying location.
And this is a US price because it's the home market for this device. This is not surprising or abnormal for stating pricing of products.

Slightly dishonest to quote this price, because it is before taxes, and only in the U.S.
The current SE sells for €650 in most of Europe, which is also close to $650.
Obviously you will not be able to buy the next SE for $470 or €470 -- expect €670 or €695.

As long as Apple still provides the updates, the product is never absolute .. it might be old but it still can do the same thing as the iphone 15 pro max.. just slower & cost effective.

Matching price to wage is only useful with current day products (like this new iPhone SE).
