These still have 2 to 3 years left and two generations of iphones will take the hit for them. That also doesn't include the older models.

Maybe used iPhones don't count? Sucks on Apple since sales are getting cannibalized.
And majority of people there pay for their phones outright. Only a few take loans from carriers like US does.

Always great to see a fast growing brand making amazing cheap phones like Transsion does and they deserve this. So where are Sony, Acer, Lumia, HTC, BlackBerry, Asus? you guys also made nice cheap phones in 2013 2014 2015 and I saw you all in those years.

In some markets, iPhone prices are literally 30 to 40% higher than their intended price segment in the US. Heck, the iPhone SE was launched at higher price than the iPhone 11 in some markets. That's just bonkers.

Let's look at Apple and Samsung base offerings. In the US, both the base S24 and base iPhone 15 are at $799. They're intended to the the direct competitor at that segment. Meanwhile, In some SE Asian markets, the base iPhone 15 is priced at close to $1000, competing with the S24+ instead. Add on the fact that many Apple features are not tailored for the region, and Apple is still relying mostly on authrorized distributors, Apple is literally selling only based on their brand equity.

If Apple kept their pricing structure close to the US,Apple would've gained a lot more marketshare in SE Asia.

That's because in SouthEast Asia we don't consume too much western media. So, we're not 100% fall into their narrative of coolness.

Apple = 7% off units sold // 30% of total revenue

And many here still do not know why there is no iphone similar to Samsung A15, Motorola G04, Xiaomi Poco C61 etc ..

It surprises me that anyone buys these defective devices from sub-brands

Samsung is revising its strategy in favor of the mid-range segment and flagships, and
loses 20% of total shipments, while Transsion increases shipments by 200% and takes 2nd place, bypassing everyone else. Samsung, where are your top managers looking?

                                Go Transsion, go!

that is not a good news when you look at it, most of them are coming from a year or 2 year old phones, and buying the latest and shiniest phone out there just to brag about having it, they're the reason why companies like apple and sammy are having record breaking sales...

Transsion went from 7 (1.4M) to 18 (4.2M) percent in just a year. That's very impressive. Keep pushing out bangers and it'll increase.

Xiaomi is up 4%, which isn't bad. Samsung went down 8%. No comment. Everyone else is doing the same or is decreasing. Am surprised of the low presence Apple has in SouthEast Asia, let alone Asia at all. Here in the US, everyone has an iPhone.
