I was always a big fan of nokia. But when the user friendliness of iPhone hit the market. nokia had to hear a bell ringing. and then came the android os. it was the beginning of a open system without you was bound to all rules as that of apple with itunes. removable memory and batteries. to name but a few. Windows was no longer in sight. but what did they do by Nokia. Betting on the horse what it the slowes. hahahahahahah. nokia pity. Think again.

Going to Android will be like setting the "burning platform" on fire all over again. Samsung dominates Android completely. Without Microsoft's protection and money and all the cheap Android competition, Nokia will be destroyed. I love Nokia, but I won't buy an Android phone (again)and Nokia cannot afford to direct ANY of their attention towards trying to do both Android AND Windows Phone. I hate to say it, but Nokia, if you go Android, my next phone will be an iPhone or a Blackberry or even a Sailfish or Firefox phone. ANYTHING but ANDROID.

I love Nokia but the WP8 has brought me skepticism long time now..and I still use an E6-00 waiting to jump to a Hi-End Nokia smartphone but looking the overwhelming world of Android and the whole planet that now supports it, makes my decision difficult to buy a WP8, despite Nokia are by far my favorite devices. Either MS must stop this stupid spec restrictions by OS and make lot more apps to create popularity and functionality, or Nokia must start produce also Android smartphones along with WP's, full-stop!

If you are looking for a specific app that you need hit a, b ,c ,etc . Y for you tube . It takes you straight there. Thanks

I appreciate Nokia's steely determination to do its own thing. It flouted touch screens (for way too long). It did everything but Android (Symbian, MeeGo, Maemo, Symbian3, Windows). Unfortunately, it's not working & they've wasted a lot of time. If Nokia went touch & Android early on, it would've established itself alongside Sammie, Motorola & HTC, instead of being relegated to an "Also ran". Nokia... You took too long. Not sure adding *another* Android brand would prove lucrative at this point. Even GM stopped making Buicks, Caddys, Pontiacs, Olds & Chevys in every model.

I really love nokia design and build quality. And , I agree that most people using Samsung now is mainly due to the Android which is quite evident in Nigeria. When Nokia makes an Android phone I am definitely getting it. I strongly believe they have they have done their best with Microsoft but sorry that OS is a dead end. What I dislike most is the scrolling through the long list of installed apps.

This is the biggest mistake that Nokia ever made in the history of mankind!

If Nokia embraces Android 5 years ago, the situation would be different!

CEO,Elop should responsible for the fall of Nokia.

O man. Nokia asked for it. They should not have killed Meego. It had so much potential. WP8 isn't that great. It's laggy in apps that require a lot of CPU and it's UI is so flat and boring. They could have kept MeeGo as a side project to lure in more developers.

i have android 4.2 on my nokia. but i dont use it. just 4 fun, and play some games for some minutes. oh and btw. i use it on the best nokia creation ever (besides the N900 ofc): the beautyful NOKIA N9!

i had them all: galaxy s2, some sony ericsson, optimus 2x, atrix with custom roms blablabla etc. but you cant compete with the minimal UI of meego harmattan. your 5000000000 apps cant compete with the superior multitasking and navigation. i have whatsapp, soundhound and some games...as for me: i dont miss a single android app. even if i would miss something...i have dualboot :)

Whil... moreits funny that Windows 8 mobile is more fluid and complete than it is for desktop computers... one would think its the other way around... this is another reason Windows 8 has such bad reputation.
