Nokia has one extremely powerful advantage in its favour. The name itself. "Nokia" is extremely popular and if they went with a powerful os like android they will dominate the smartphone market. They already have the best cameras of any smartphone, they will make a killing if they adopted the Android os. Just wish Elop would put his pride in his pocket. It will clearly pay off big tiime.

Absolutely.... even I had Lumia 720.....the camera nd all was good but just because of the os I switched back to Android....I would definitely buy Nokia the day it starts shipping With Android

Nokia should listen to their customers and learn from Samsung ATIV Q.
Samsung ATIV Q proves that it is possible to build devices with both Android and WP OS at once.

One reason they don't produce Android is that Nokia Maps and Google Maps are rivalries.

analyst my S, everyone seems to be an expert nowadays, WP is the best, can beat every other os by only a couple of updates, hey Nokia keep far from android flop

Yup! Nokia should adopt Android again in this segment. I think the analysts is an Android fanb8y. He just want the 41mgp camera on Android so he can have it to. Why dont you come to wp? I use to think android is the best. I was wroung. Window is the best. Nokia should just stay on window.

back in 2010 Nokia Hired a CEO from Microsoft, I don't know if he still there , but I think they need to fire him & find a new one from google insted to push their market toward Android. as I have been thinking the same as this article addressed. it was correct 100% in all of its words. plus I don't know why they stopped their own MeeGo OS or Nokia Belle. so far Nokia has best MAPing software (and FREE) ... NOKIA PLEASE TRY TO GO FOR ANDROID !!!

If that happens... Nokia android phone... That is where the true war begins. U must notice how Samsung, HTC & others r keeping with market demand by catering all the customer needs with both Android & WP. I always think why Nokia doesn't go for android? If they want to be frog in the well its their choice.

Yeah Nokia has good hardware if they go for Android. I think they'll probably take a lot of share from Samsung.

I just got Nokia Lumia last week, now I say Nokia choose WP8 is a wise decision. It requires low hardware rather than Android. It is easier to use too!

kept my symbian 5233 for 3 years till last week in expectation of some good fone from nokia. but at last i switched to android dual core machine.......elop+nokia=flop. even if nokia kept on producing symbian in future it would have greater market share than present.

That is the reason Nokia is not giving their answers to samsung`s daily flagship phones. It`s been rumoured that WP 8.1 will support high configs which will be released in the december.

I think if Nokia and Blackberry Merge they could bring in their points of strength together or die together and this is a 55% but both alone they probably die 70% chance
