          D7200 had really good gpu sd 865 level, but some cpu intensive games like Honkai it post midrange level results and can't do high refresh games because of that dual core even though gpu is capable.

          I don't understand about your V9 question, but V9 cores are expensive, this D7300 would be much cheaper, and appear in phones around $250 or lower.

              D930/1080/7050 uses 2x A78 + 6x A55. This one uses 4x A78 + 4x A55 similar to D1000 series which became D8000-series later on. Single core CPU perf will take a hit but multi core CPU and sustained performance should be slightly better. Plus it puts the chip on parallel with competitors like SD 7s Gen 2. GPU-wise though it's quite a downgrade with Mali-G615 MC2 which is one generation newer but half less cores as the outgoing 7200.

              Overall, definitely not a 'downgrade' per se, but Mediatek could equip the 7300 better.

                Assuming the GPU on the 7300 series is carried straight from 7200, these new chips reminds us of the aging Dimensity 1000, just modernized for 2025 phones.

                EDIT: the GPU is only a dual-cluster Mali G615. Going from 4 cluster G610 to 2 cluster G615 seems like a major downgrade, but we'll see.

                      X86 and ArmV9 are killed.
                      It's a Pro-Apple benchmark...Apple Switch to V9 with M4, we must wait for Geekbench 7.

                            1480 and 7200 are very close...

                            On Qualcomm's serie 7, only + versions worth it...(Modified 8 sold under their price because of D8100 or 8300)

                            Nevertheless switching from 2A715 to 4A78 isn't necesserly a bad idea

                              Qualcomm and Mediatek have the best talent pool on planet earth!!!
                              But they're product naming doesn't make any sense.
                              I wish someone from intel will email them.

                                  yjfoeg, 30 May 20247300 has more big core and newer GPU than 7200, but the CPU... moreIt's older but cheaper and more practical, look at Sd 778G, Exynos 1480, 1380, 7s gen 2 etc they use older A78 but has more perfomance than D7200 and some like 7s gen 2 and 778G appear in cheaper phones.

                                  Instead of expensive 2xA715 it's better having 4xA78 and use remaining budget to bump gpu, price increase using A715 not worth it, you get like maybe 5% more perfomance.
