It suceeds to 7200...
Comparaison with 7050 is linked to Cortex A78...both 7300 and 7050 use A78
It's a strange choice and clumsy communication.
7200 used more modern cores (A715) but it's 2 Big + 6 little
I think Mediatek Switch to 4+4 to get more power and keep a good price.
Cortex A78 is a step black...
4+4 is a bigger step forward...

So it's upgrade based from D7050/1080 ? Why not use latest ARM likes D7200 ? Is it a failure cause not much phone using it ?

7300 has more big core and newer GPU than 7200, but the CPU arch is older.
It's quite strange man...

You know, this isnt an upgrade but a huge downgrade
I was expecting an A720 or at least 4 A715 cores but they must use A78 to milked it

If any ,more particularly the Dimensity 7300X, is coming again to the Galaxy A series ,Galaxy A36 perhaps, I would readily buy it.The Dimensity 7050/1080 inside the Galaxy a34 5G can/is holding it's own against 'some' competitors.

Mixed bag. It all comes to pricing. If it comes in sub $250 phones, pretty good.

Rookie Man, 30 May 2024They should upgrade to A720 not downgrade to a78.Nah ARMv9 is stup*d, keep A78 and go with the best node possible for the price. Doesn’t have to be the latest on a non-flagship so N4P from TSMC is good
