Let's do a quick unboxing before kicking off the review process.

I observed some heating issue and in some YouTube shorts videos quality is dropped even for higher data consumption.

If is there any solution, please let me know, otherwise Moto has to adress the issue with software update

magnaroader, 05 Jun 2024Which also doesn't give me a lot of faith in their abi... moreIncredibly ironic how the Nokia C32 and the Nokia G11 Plus from a far smaller-scale company compared to Lenovo's mobile division, cheaper than the cheapest Motorola-branded phone officially available for sale (Moto E13/G04), officially got upgraded to Android 14 during the first quarter of this year.
That alone proves how Motorola is no longer a worthy brand to consider, outside of the Pantone colour pallette and occasional value-for-money they offer (or in this case, used to offer).

They may lose customers in the long term imho, if they don't pay attention to giving their customers the best phone experience from their products.
If Nokia can provide a better software experience with consistent security updates and far better optimized/polished software with weaker chipsets overall on a tighter budget, what stops Lenovo/Motorola from doing the same? Their greed!

Yikes

magnaroader, 04 Jun 2024Wow then at least we corrected Motorola's moronic Arab... moreIronic how Lenovo's representatives are supposed to have a better understanding of their products, but instead, us GSMArena users had to correct their misleading social media posts. Lol

Had they cared for the accuracy of their social media posts, they wouldn't have been called out by people who know well on that subject matter but don't work under that company. That alone proves how careless the employees are.

Minu, 03 Jun 2024I had to verify your comment from the Middle East Motorola ... moreWow then at least we corrected Motorola's moronic Arabic social media posts huh?
Because I asked them to clarify a week ago and they agreed with the info they shared on the post.
How they even mistook the processors is beyond my understanding lol

Pumpino, 02 Jun 2024The Edge 30 Fusion, a premium phone (and more premium than ... moreExtremely ridiculous because that phone is basically the cream of the crop of any Motorola-branded phone to date. Lightweight, supports 8K recording and possesses a Pantone-infused colour palette. What's not to love?

Even Nokia with a far smaller software team isn't this weak when it comes to software updates, while providing lower specs. I've noticed that the Nokia C32 with a far weaker processor has gotten updated to Android 14 by March 2024, as verified by my parents' phones.

If that's the case, it shouldn't be that difficult for Lenovo with extensive resources to provide timely updates for a far expensive/premium phone with a flagship chipset.

magnaroader, 03 Jun 2024Maybe you need to re-read my comment, I said the MID EAST v... moreI had to verify your comment from the Middle East Motorola website, and they have listed the 7s Gen 2 instead. If they had listed the 7 Plus instead, either it's a typo or an error in the website or their social media channels.

Since it's a new phone, let's just take their information with a grain of salt for now 👍

Update: They have changed the caption to 7 Gen 2 in their Instagram post. Either those who maintain their social media pages are none other than workers with zero idea of their own products.

On a side note, I highly suggest you to refer to verifiable information

magnaroader, 03 Jun 2024There's literally this model being sold in Mid East. ... moreMy bad, you’re right. Kinda strange though since this beats the Pro.

magnaroader, 03 Jun 2024There's literally this model being sold in Mid East. ... moreI believe that's a typo in their ad. Motorla Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia - they are all selling the regular, global Snapdragon 7s Gen 2.

Just because you don't have the variant doesn't mean it isn't available.
I will try to post the link here:

Motorola keeps focusing on it's curved displays.

They are now appearing on the G series. Ugh.

The Edge 30 Fusion, a premium phone (and more premium than the new model), still hasn't received Android 14. I'll never buy Motorola again.
