Galaxy Watch 5 40mm got EXACTLY the same large bezels as this one it seems. Also using a 1.2" display...
Though the Galaxy Watch 6 40mm got a 3.4mm bezel, so better but still quite far from eliminated.
And really not that unusual that an FE model reminds of the previous top model.

Had Huawei GT2 befo... moreI don't have faint on that. they haven't done anything on the sensor side for 3 years and probably will be 4 years. all they do is adding new metrics which also lack accuracy. I think it is easier to market quantity over quality. this year, they will probably stick with the same old sh*tty internals and market AI gimmicks on top, that's all. all they will improve is 20% longer battery life for round models.

I wish Samsung followed the Huawei's steps and did a less smart smartwatch, but with longer battery life and better sensors.

As you said, it has cheaper sensors and ... morealthough huawei marketing gt3pro like a smartwatch, it is a feature rich smartband with big screen,high quality materials and sensors. smartwatch is a wrist sized full featured phone extension. since, gt3 pro has almost no app support or voice assistant, it is still in smartband territory which is a good thing for somebody for the sake of battery life.
if you are looking for sensor accuracy, you should skip even samsung's flagship watches. you can check garmin vivoactive5 for a sporty look.

As you said, it has cheaper sensors and is not even a watch.
GT3 Pro is a luxury watch with high quality sensors and materials and almost two weeks long lasting battery.

the industry has gone crazy, every year it releases new models that are not an improvement over the last, nor do they bring better features, samsung has the worst tracking sensors and has never made them work as well as apple and huawei

HR, SpO2, GPS they all lack accuracy for a flagship device. they haven't done any upgrade since 3 years and they are very far behind from the main rival apple watch.

I wish Samsung released a less smart smartwatch, but with better tracking of pulse and sleep, and much longer battery life, a la Huawei GT 3 pro (about 12 days of battery life).
