Talk about throughing your customers under the Bus..what a world ¿¿

If the phone is still functional, technically people should be fine with anything with at least Android 12. Even Android 11 phone is still receiving Google Play system updates. Not sure where the cutoff, but maybe Android 10 has been dropped (cmiiw).

I have oppo F11 pro and doesn't receive updates for 2 years already. Don't see why I just get rid of it until it just dies.

BrianCoriour, 05 Jun 2024Nobody buys those phones anyways Well the A51 4g which was massively popular got its support ended a few months ago.

I wonder how they'll get to maintain this business model with 5-7 years of supports.
Though it still sucks that lots of capable 2019-2020 hardware, for non intensive uses, are out there abandoned by the maker. Although for consolation, Google still updates very old devices.

M01 legendary phone . My dad has one

To be honest, I wouldn't replace my phone just because software support has ended. I was using my LG V10 all the way up to Jan 2022 on Android 7.0. Other than lack of battery endurance, I didn't feel any need to replace the phone. The last straw for the replacement need was actually the lack of bank app support for phones on older than Android 8.

I have "upgraded" to Samsung A52s BTW.
