07 June 2024
It's basically an even cheaper version of the already available A3.

I can't download some apps because it keeps saying not compatible with the device and how can I stop that

Ouifuf, 08 Jun 2024Yep. And that's why it isn't e waste. People buy itStill e-waste though, that thing barely does its intended job and is obsolete at release. It's a shame some people buy it, but those people have no clue about specs and just want a phone that somewhat works and doesn't cost much.

Sure it got 'ancient' A78 CPU, but it makes more sense to use 4 A78 cores with faster results than two A710/715. Also it's of 4+4 core configuration just like the last-gen Snapdragon 7 series (SD 7s Gen 2 / 778) and not the usual 2+6 affair Dimensity 7000-series have usually gone with. Last but not the least it also getting GPU generation update, albeit its a dual-cluster part now (Mali G615 MC2 vs G610 MC4 on the D7200)

This is a far cry than the T603, which is basically Spreadtrum SC9863A made under SMIC fab.

While I agree that T606 is literally comparable with G8x series (it's better in some cases, like UFS support), but this T603 is just comparable with G36, which makes it e-waste. Not to mention the 22/28nm fabrication.

Their T6xx series has comparable cpu performance with Helio G8x while supporting faster storage and being cheaper and their Tangula SoCs already have 4xA76+4xA55 with Mali G57MP4 while Mediatek is stuck with Helio G99 with 5G modem and Qualcomm is rehashing Snapdragon 695 for 2 generations now with 3rd(4 gen 3/6s gen 3) on way.
