Anonymous, 05 Jul 2013A humble request to Samsung, please don't release not even ... moreWho are we talking? And how is that the same thing they did with bada. And like the article said. It's highly highly unlikely they would do that

Samsung profits are shrinking. Please upgrade Bada devices and continue development on it.

AnonD-156821, 04 Jul 2013i agree, Tizen is useless, like Bada wasBADA and useless at all. Android even took some ideas from BADA like the multitasking part and the built-in taskmanager (BADA already had it before android had it's own task manager and before other OS like iOS had one).
BADA can also run on a low end phone smoothly without those lag.
Only ignorant people who has never owned a BADA powered phone says it.

A humble request to Samsung, please don't release not even a single device if development on Tizen is going to be stopped. There is a notorious company which released a wonderful phone (only one) and no further development afterwards. Please don't repeat that. I know you did the same thing to Bada.
PS: I'm user of Wave 2.0, still using the phone because of it's simplicity. Love it.

If Samsung is going to kill the platform, why does it even bother to loan 1 product.
If it's going to launch more than 1 product, I see it's going to be another BADA in the making.

No, I think it would be a ridiculous decision to pull the plug on Tizen. Sure, Android is big today and Samsung is making big profits from it. But that doesn't mean things will be like this forever.
Perhaps ensuring that Android apps are compatible with Tizen while maintaing the Qt developing environment would be a good idea. I also thing that merging some of the good stuff in WebOS which is now open source with Tizen would be another idea.
Let's also not forget that there is also Jolla and Sailfish which could be considered as a Skunkworks continuation of the MeeGo operating system which was merged into Tizen a while ago.
The thing is that operating systems keep developing and it doesn't end with Android or iOS.

Samsung did a relly stupid thing here with their mve in regards to the OSes.
Unlike, Nokia, Apple, and Blackberry -- who develops the OS/Platforms for themselves and even with a gain/loss on the market, they can still keep it up. Samsung does not have anything to fall back into.
Samsung should have looked for more options on the readily available Windows Phone OS rather than jumping onto another OS bandwagon that seems too obvious for failure.

AnonD-80584, 04 Jul 2013ahah you're high AND dilusional! the average samsung andro... moreMy Nokia N95 got 5 updates back then and I was very satisfied. But you can't say that I am a fanboy. I have never owned a samsung before and I am considering the S4 as my next phone and the fact that samsung is good with updates is a major plus. You think it's the worst? Dude GS2 started from v2.3.4 and now is at v4.1.2. the same as HTC ONE which only got updated to 4.2 on Taiwan. Samsung galaxy s4 got updated t 4.3. I don't know about the average samsung but I sure do know about the flaghips. In android territories HTC sucks at updates, Sony is waaay to slow and Samsung is the best. Get your facts right

While Android is enough for my needs, there should always be room to a better OS.. Intel-samsung partnership is promising but i believe one might have back out from this project.

I think Samsung made great a advertizing here.
If Samsung let out some positive info about Tizen, all iMedia like GSMArena will skip it, and pretend that never happen. They like only Apple and Samsung is their iNightmare.
But if they let out negative news about Tizen and Samsung, it will be all over the news. There is not such a thing like 'bad ad' . Any ad is GOOD ad.

AnonD-80584, 04 Jul 2013ahah you're high AND dilusional! the average samsung andro... moreWell what if I told you that maybe Nokia is best with updates but Samsung isn't worst. I have a HTC which had only one update (from 2.3 to 4.0) and most of them get only one update, like one x or one s (4.0 to 4.1). That's really dissapointing though.
