I have a Samsung GT-S8500 Wave (the first BADA phone)
Its still running strong and has fantastic build quality (still have not bought a Android or iOS Phone. But after letting go of BADA project, I won't trust Samsung with another OS...

It is possible that this rumour may be true.I would expect that Samsung is keen to avoid what happened to its home grown OS back in 2010: Bada. Many of the aspects of Samsung's overlay skin for Android (TouchWiz) are borrowed from Bada but Bada itself is no more. However, Samsung is keen to not be excessively reliant on Android. (Curiously it certainky hasn't shown much enthusiasm for Windows Phone which could have helped in this regard).

i am waiting that happen but not that soon because generating software is another business samsung is very good at hardware and should keep it that way after that memorable bada failure. i still have my wave II as my secondary phone. rather than estetical manner there is nothing special about it because it runs one of the worst os: bada. so it is better for tizen to be dead before i even relased because people dont know much about software and smartphone can buy tizen devices and suffer a lot just like me who didnt know much about smartphone os back in 2011. but thank god now i know everything and bought myself galaxy note 2 as a main phone.

Why does Samsung need Tizen? I mean we already have OS options. iOS or WP or Anroid. We don't need Tizen i think. We want a better experience on Anroid which is already good. Just make it a bit lighter.

I've been saying Tizen will be crap the moment they announced it. And i still stand by my statement. I've seen what Samsung did with BadaOS and since Tizen is their new child, same faith is awaiting it even before it's out. And whoever will be stupid enough to buy such device will be greatly disappointed.

If BadaOS or Tizen were meant for feature phones from Samsung, then AWESOME. But when they plan to stuff them on smartphones, it's just a no go. You have to start with a different attitude if you want to go there and Samsung just doesn't have the balls or interest to do that.

I'm the guy who worked with the Tizen OS but due to my lack of creativity i was fired from the company. :( I think Tizen isn't a well desingned OS and pretty much looks like those cheap $10 Chinese handsets, espcially the icons and everything is pretty much like Android OS but with different icon sets. To be honest, Tizen OS is like Android 2.2 froyo or Andtoid 2.3 Gingerbread but with very less application and requires a heavy hardware to run. I hope this project would be abandoned as soon as possible, as this OS isn't competetive enough. I also think that Samsung wants to create an image like Nokia with it's MegGo OS. RIP Tizen.

Ha ha ha hi hi hi ho ho ho!

Never Tizen can win against Android. Samsung is leading because of Android. But Google needed Samsung to make Android phones popular but with the upcoming Moto X phone, Google doesn't need Samsung that much.

Here is Google, Motorola and Android OS to rule the world.

                        Some said :

"I don't think he will eat his words as Samsung phones won't sell
                        well if using Tzien.
S5 Tzien vs S5 android, who will sell more? use your brain"

Can you read and use ur brain please, please, please?

                              since beginning, it's useless.

unless, TIZEN can legally have Android apps and webstore.

Tizen DEad,why not? If a capable OS like BADA which turned to be much better than Symbian, getting the best of IOS and android into an affordable package with worlds first SAMOLED Plus Screen and excellent form factor phone DIED Tizen's a mere joke not a true OS just expansion of Web Browser with HTML5 based apps and games!New Asha OS seems a better option with free FACEBOOK access and swipe gestures. Also in pipeline is Sailfish OS!

I feel sorry for them :(
Android has taken all the market share.
