Apple goes for the minimalist outward bending approach. Wise, as this has the best mechanics and saves them building an extra glass screen. Typical Apple, sell less for more. At least the hinge and the bend on the plastic will be less complicated . Besides that, they don't care if you damage the always exposed plastic screen.

And nobody please mention iPad here as iPads are special category of one time foldable super iphones and this one's entirely different with infinitely more number of folds possible........so gonna admit what a solid upgrade😅

Yay!
As apple display is protected by a very special "Timmy robo-glass." It's impossible to break so an outward folding display with glowing apple logo on back is the innovation at its peak.
Who would've though?
But haters gonna say that apple will milk $1500 for screen replacement....Huh
