Which iPad Pro should you get in 2024?

Apple is Apple, but according to Linus, iPad Pros has the best OLED screen on the planet,period. Destroys any other OLED screens, does not matter is monitor or TV ones, yes you read it right ☺️

The only iPad that make sense for me, is the iPad mini. Which I own right now.

It makes no sense to buy a tablet that costs as much as a laptop as it's never going to replace a laptop.
For people who draw, sure. For everyone else it'll just be a very gimped Macbook Air/Pro.

Nope. I only use Tablet with desktop experience software and refined multitasking experience.
Galaxy Tab > Apple iPad.

It's not even worth getting a current iPad Pro or iPad Air in 2024. There's no point giving desktop-grade firepower for what is basically a glorified iOS for tablets. I'd rather buy a tablet with a proper desktop OS like Microsoft Surface Pro or Lenovo Chromebook Duet 3/5.

what's the function of the iPadOS @ the Larger iPad?
2 step forward but 1 step back.
still need to bring iPhone out for daily communication, totally meaningless.
No Whatssap, No Phone for iPadOS.
there are WindowOS @ tablet that can do proper Multitasking, Software Support, Touch, Multiple External Display etc.

Great advice when you consider the Apple Pencil 2 is not even compatible with the new iPad Pro and iPad Air. You have to get either an Apple Pencil USB-C or Apple Pencil Pro.

I would never buy an iPad because Apple wants too much money for it. I bought the Galaxy Tab S9 FE 10.9" from T-Mobile. It does everything I need it to do.

you should get the one from 2018 because it has all the same features and is much cheaper used. Or if you want to buy new get the cheapest iPad 10 or Air 4/5 you can find. Spending $1000 on an iPad makes no sense in 99% of cases.

you should get Lenovo tab M8 (or equivalent if you don't like Lenovo). It's small, costs around 100 euros and can do anything , you will actually do on the tablet.

Get the maxed out one and keep it for the next half decade. I say this as a Linux/Coreboot/Google pixel person
My iPad Pro 2018 with 1TB is still a beast. Zero problems and amazing battery life still. Magic Keyboard with the trackpad just turned 4.
When it goes, I'll just replace it with another maxed Pro. It has its place.
Still not sold on OLED for long term use though, especially when it comes to eye strain.
