            🤣🤣🤣 for a second I thought this was one of those "trip down memory lane" articles about Android 2.2 from a decade ago.

There for they dont add 3.5mm jack cause they want to sell their wireless headphones several times a year. They lose microSD card cause you have options for storage so when you have the microSD then there is no point to get larger storage option phone and now they add more ram so you get the higher storage option.
              Also for compact size phone no brand is doing other then only top end flagships and then say that market dont want compact in size and then test the market by making the compact size in the entry budget segment and see that it wont sell much so think that market dont want it. We dont have compact size phone in the middle class hardware. Even in the past like Sony compact it was still a flagship with high price so limited to people who can afford it. I for one dont see a point for compact size phone to cost like 800 euro as you dont use the phone so much. I would buy a compact size phone but i dont want it to be something 100 euro that make me mad cause it's so slow and then need to change to new phone like every year. Middle class hardware something SD7s gen 2 be ok performance for something like 5.5inch screen for like 130mm tall phone where screen is edge to edge and would cost max around 250-300 euro and it be smooth to operate social media and so on for 4-5 years.

                Why is that a good thing ? I had no labels under the icons when i drag my finger from top screen down to see the options like flashlight, airplane mode and so on and i needed something and could not find it cause i dont remember what each icon is for.

                One day i needed the icon button for lock screen to portrait mode so the picture wont flip when i move the phone to sideways and i didnt find it so i needed to search it trough the google for tutorial

                    i won't be satisfied until they allow to add the google search widget and replace the dynamic island for a punch hole

                        Not sure what to make of this...
                        This set of features might be pretty confusing for the iOS folks, which are not used with the phone allowing them to put icons wherever.

                            Or physical fingerprint scanners because under display ones come with their own share of issues
                            Or some people care about smaller phones


                            I am one of those "some people", but majority doesn't care, and thus manufacturers don't need to care.

                            That is a issue too.

                                in fact, I think Android makers are doing the same now. Especially using AI to mask lack of new groundbreaking features.

                                      Then again, I had a good laugh how many years it took them to bring calculator app to iPads after Jobs passed away.

                                      Sure they release it with some nice to have functionality, but it still took them more than 10 years after Jobs went away (Jobs was heavily against calculator and weather app on iPads due to larger screen making them ugly)

                                      Oh well

                                      Luckily I don't use iPads, because I do use the calculator on my Android tablet a lot.
