Anders, 12 Jun 2024It's great that it's got a headphone jack, microS... more400?

You are not being realistic with "western brands who sell in ultra mini quantity" and are sold on really limited market, even more limitted market then Google Pixels.

This is HTC's way to say "hey fans of htc, we had a rough time in past several years as you all know it, but we are trying our best to give you something in the range of a mid-ranger so you don't have to be dependent only on our ODM cr*p which we also call Wildfire series"

I knew I saw that design before! That makes this even less exciting than it already is.

It's it me or is the back of this phone and exact copy of the Huawei p20 pro??

          New HTC yay.
          Looking good so far.

The design is fine, I just wish they were making a flagship as well as a midranger

Vasra, 13 Jun 2024Happy with my SD855 and will never buy iCrap or Samsung, un... moreDon't forget Sharp!
While they're none other than an arm of Foxconn, they made the lightest flagship of today, the Aquos R8s.
It has both the MicroSD slot and a 3.5mm jack, but the software is unfortunately a bit too half-baked with no updates whatsoever.
The other problem is the lack of global availability, and the atrocious prices from retailers when trying to grey import them.

At the same time, I have zero problems with my Nokia 8, a SD835-powered flagship from 2017. It's simply more than enough for my needs, and has nothing I don't need.

If HTC uses near clean Android like Sony, Asus, et al, the battery life should be fine or even great.

U23 Pro is priced at $330 US on amazon. So, wait a bit, maybe a year, and get $100 or so off the price? I tend to demolish mobiles so I'm pretty cheap when it comes to spending... this is a great phone at

Weird to see several complaints about the battery size. 4600mHa is adequate at the worst and the most recent slate of phones by Xiaomi, Samsung, OP-- many hover around 5000. Is 400mha really going to break you? (iphone at 3200mha with their MAGIC battery tech.)

When samsung foundry gets decently competitive we won't see jacked up wafer prices anymore

If it's €564 in the EU, I'm guessing it might be between $449 to $499 if it's selling in the USA. That is Google Pixel 8a and OnePlus 12R territory.
