They may be making excellent phones back again but I can only think of how frustrating it is for customers to have the high-end model and to see it replaced only a couple of months later. Even Samsung and Apple as well as HTC have the decency not to do that

The reason could be the top quality of materials? Nice looking devices? Sturdy feeling? Stable and fluid software?
Who wants those silly features we want more GHz, more RAM more screen inches, etc.
Why Nokia is still relevant?
It remains a mystery.

Nokia should rethink on going android. And their CEO's should shut up whining about ios and android and be open minded. Good camera is all they can offer? 12mp is enough for pro photographer.

GSMArena write too much about Nokia, it is 1 company that release very few phones and the ONLY "good" thing about Nokia plastic "phones" is the Carl Zeiss lens and the camera!
There are many companies that release many new Androids, so GSMArena should write even more about all these very many new Androids!

At least, Nokia Lumia 1020 will have an awesome camera and a dedicated camera key and will be way much better than those over hyped cheap Android garbage phones, Nokia Lumia 1020 will set itself apart with the a$$ whopping camera!

The pixels are needed on TV, on big screens. Then the connectivity is more important.
Yes, you're right. Monochrome tiles, very few apps.. but needful ones.
In general average people use up to 50 apps on their phones - Apple and Android users. From TOP 50 for both OS, Windows have 46. On my phones i use less than 30 and all of them are available for Windows.
For me few things are important for a Smartphone:
1. Very good quality of phone calls;
2. Good and reliable design;
3. Exellent camera;
4. Space for music and FM transmitter for my car;
5. Few important apps, available for all the phone OSes.

=) This phone looks sexy from both the angles but the hump(camera module) is a bit disappointing, i hope it's not true and Nokia will make the back similar to Nokia 808 Pureview. That'd be awesome!
