No monetary gain!!! So water is not wet then.

walkman8, 13 Jun 2024The massive amount of data and information they gather from... moreYup. Today we live in the age of "unprivacy". Everything about us, our behaviours and interests and info, are being collected by large corporations for profit. Doesn't matter Apple or Google, they are all the same.

No monetary deal but ... A LOT OF DATA and that's 🤑🤑🤑

What about Apple's bold claims about privacy?

Fair enough; Because of WWDC, Apple is now worth more than MicroSoft, 3.29T vs 3.28T, respectively in USD. Apple used to be around 3.35 yesterday (Jun. 12) but went down. NVIDIA also went up to 3.19T today but the loser here is Amazon, who cares about them?!

Says the company that didn't disclose a spyware existing for years on Apple products until someone busted them.

                No Money Gain,

                but Data Gain?

SShock, 13 Jun 2024As seen, even more. Google didn't become this money pr... moreFree services? The amount of data you buy to watch YouTube shorts on Apple's toktok toys. Everything is money

I heard Microsoft paid money for nothing to OpenAI.
So i guess it was paid by MS ahead of time lol

Absolutely BullS@@@ no money from this deal...someone is always making money somehow, it's gonna be upfront or at the backend, otherwise there would no agreement. Businesses are not charities...they are always making money.

I'll correct this article by adding

                        DIRECT MONETARY GAIN

                        Indirect super profits for sure

Ok, so who pays Microsoft for their servers and electricity?

If anything I would *prefer* chatGPT be paid for their AI in iPhones. Without a straight monetary incentive, the only way chatGPT can see this deal being financially worth it unless they're harvesting data.

walkman8, 13 Jun 2024The massive amount of data and information they gather from... moreThere's a reason why Deloitte called Data back in 2018 or so as the new gold.

Anonymous, 13 Jun 2024So it's likely that the deal may end at any time.Apple is likely developing their own LLM. That way, they can scrap ChatGPT at no cost to them in the future and OpenAI gets billions of data training points.

walkman8, 13 Jun 2024The massive amount of data and information they gather from... moreYeah, I would rather stick to training an open-source LLM like LLaMA 3 or DBRX.

walkman8, 13 Jun 2024The massive amount of data and information they gather from... moreAs seen, even more. Google didn't become this money printing giant just by giving away free services...

Anonymous, 13 Jun 2024So it's likely that the deal may end at any time. The massive amount of data and information they gather from users is just as good as money.
